27,353 fans were treated to a fine game at Oakland Coliseum as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Oakland team won by the slimmest
of margins, 3 to 2.
 
The score was tied at 1 after nine.  Oakland won the game in the 12th inning.
Stephen Piscotty kicked off the action when he ripped a base-knock.  Ramon
Laureano struck out, unable to help the rally.  Sean Murphy then drew a walk.
Robbie Grossman followed next and he drew a walk to load the bases.  Marcus
Semien came up to bat and drew a walk scoring a run.  Chad Pinder got his
chance to keep things going, but he went down on strikes.  Matt Chapman came
next and he drew a walk making Oakland the victors to the delight of the home
town faithful.  Oakland rapped out 10 hits for the night.  
 
The win was credited to J.B. Wendelken(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing 1 run.
The losing pitcher was Aroldis Chapman(0-1) in relief.
