Left fielder Hunter Pence ripped 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at PETCO Park as the
San Francisco ballclub beat the San Diego club 9 to 6.
Pence had a great evening at the plate. He lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run in the 2nd inning, belted a three-run homer in the 5th
inning and lashed a single in the 7th inning. San Francisco finished with 12
hits in the victory.
The win went to Andrew Suarez(1-2) who allowed 1 run in 6 innings. Tony Watson
got the save, his 4th. Dinelson Lamet(1-1) was the losing pitcher. He
served up 3 homeruns in his 4 and 1/3 innings.
Wth the win San Francisco now has a record of 5-10. With an impressive recent
record of 8-2, San Diego hopes this will only be an isolated loss - followed
by another nice run.
