WEB GEMS- Bot 5th: Victor Robles robbed Dan Vogelbach of an extra base hit.
Top 9th: J.P. Crawford robbed Juan Soto of a base hit.
Stephen Strasburg took a no-hitter into the 6th inning and Ryan Zimmerman had
3 base hits as the Washington team defeated the Seattle club by the score of
7 to 2 at T-Mobile Park.
Strasburg(4-0) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He didn't give up
much, just 3 hits and 1 walk in 6 innings. Strasburg whiffed an impressive
total of 10 Seattle batters. The right-handed Strasburg lost his no-hit bid
when J.P. Crawford singled with nobody out in the 6th inning. Washington had
13 hits overall, while Seattle had 5.
The loss was charged to Justus Sheffield(1-2). He was a hard-luck loser,
pitching 5 innings and not allowing an earned run.
'He was really impressive tonight,' Sheffield said of his counterpart. 'Our
guys were just swinging at air.'
