Jacob Degrom took a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the New York (NL) club
defeated the Milwaukee club by a score of 8 to 1 at Citi Field.

Degrom(2-1) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He didn't allow much,
just 2 hits and 1 walk in 7 innings. Degrom mowed down 11 Milwaukee batters
seeing his ERA drop from 3.76 to 3.24. The right-handed Degrom lost his
no-hit bid when Ben Gamel doubled with one out in the 6th inning. Overall
New York (NL) out-hit Milwaukee 15 to 5.

Adrian Houser(0-3) was hit with the loss. He was unable to control the New
York (NL) offense and allowed 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.

Everyone seemed to enjoy the performance of Degrom - except Milwaukee.
Milwaukee's manager lamented, 'He just was 'on' tonight. He was keeping our
guys off balance all game. A fine game by a good strikeout pitcher - makes
it a fun game for the hometown fans - unfortunately we were the visitors!'
