Trevor Bauer racked up an impressive total of 11 strikeouts as the Cincinnati
team defeated the New York (AL) club by the score of 2 to 0 at Yankee
Stadium.
Bauer(3-2) put on a good performance. He allowed only 5 hits and 2 walks in 7
innings improving his ERA from 4.26 to 3.12. Cincinnati had just 6 hits for
the afternoon.
Raisel Iglesias earned his 4th save. J.A. Happ(2-2) was tagged with the loss.
Despite the loss, he struckout 14 Cincinnati batters in 7 innings.
Bauer, when asked about his 11 strikeout performance noted, 'The important
thing is that we won, if I get 20 and we lose, what good does it do our team?
But, on the other hand, since we won it feels great!'
