TEAM RISP- : 4 for 11 : 3 for 7
Didi Gregorius connected with a 'big fly' as the Philadelphia team defeated
the Miami team 7 to 5 at Citizens Bank Park.
Philadelphia scored 3 runs in the decisive bottom of the 5th inning with the
help of 3 hits. The highlight belonged to Andrew Knapp who made the
Philadelphia fans a happy lot when he doubled which was good for two runs.
Miami had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Vince Velasquez(2-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 innings and
allowing 3 runs. Pablo Lopez(2-3) was the losing pitcher. He allowed a few
too many baserunners giving up 10 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings.
Despite losing Miami's manager was optimistic after the game. 'We'll get over
this one. Sometimes the breaks fall your way, sometimes they don't. Any one
of a dozen little things go different, and we come out on top.'
