Jake Fraley hit for the cycle and had 3 RBI as the Seattle club defeated the
Texas club in 16 innings 8 to 5 at Globe Life Field.
The score was tied at 5 after nine. Seattle came out on top in the 16th
inning. After an out was recorded, Shed Long began the Seattle spurt when he
lined a one-base hit. Evan White was next and he smashed a two-run homer.
After another out, Kyle Lewis then doubled. Fraley followed and he doubled
scoring the final run of the inning. The score went back-and-forth with the
lead changing 5 times.
The win went to Gerson Bautista(1-0) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Dan
Altavilla recorded the save, his 1st. Luke Farrell(0-2) ended up with the
loss in relief. He pitched 3 innings and surrendered 4 hits and no walks.
