In a close game it was the Baltimore club 5, the Toronto club 3 at Camden
Yards.

John Means(1-2) had a solid outing for Baltimore. He went 5 and 2/3 innings
and surrended up 4 hits and 1 walk. Means whiffed an impressive total of 7
Toronto batters. Toronto tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.

Chase Anderson(2-3) was the losing pitcher. Toronto's manager was subdued
after the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our guys had simply played
more fundamentally sound, we could have won that one. That is what really
ticks me off!'
