WEB GEMS- Bot 8th: Nick Ahmed robbed Alex Dickerson of a base hit.

Wilmer Flores had 2 base hits as the San Francisco team defeated the Arizona
ballclub by the score of 3 to 2 at Oracle Park.

San Francisco scored 2 runs in the 5th inning when they had 3 base hits.
Donovan Solano got things going when he lashed a single. Jeff Samardzija
stepped up to the plate and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Mauricio Dubon
then delivered a base-hit. Evan Longoria was up next and he drew a walk to
load the bases. Buster Posey stepped into the box and hit a deep fly
resulting in a run. Flores added to the uprising and banged out a single
scoring the final run of the inning. Arizona made it exciting in the 9th,
but they were unable to push the needed runs across.

The win was credited to Samardzija(2-1) who went 6 innings allowing 1 run.
Tony Watson got the save, his 3rd. Robbie Ray(1-2) was charged with the
loss. He allowed 7 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.

San Francisco's manager was beaming after the game, 'Not only were we making
good contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to have 'eyes'! I just love
winning these tight ones! It was just our evening - no doubt about it!'
