Victor Reyes hit 2 doubles as the Detroit ballclub staged a dramatic comeback
over the Kansas City club by a score of 7 to 6 at Kauffman Stadium.

Detroit scored the winning runs in the top of the 9th inning with 3 runs on 3
hits. Cameron Maybin led off and started the attack as he smacked a single.
Reyes stepped up next and he doubled. Miguel Cabrera then drew a walk to
load the bases. C.J. Cron was up next and he would ground out bringing in a
run. Jonathan Schoop came up to bat and stroked a one-base hit driving home
another two teammates. It was roller coaster of a game as the lead change
hands 5 times.

Buck Farmer(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no
runs. Farmer was helped out by Joe Jimenez who recorded his 3rd save. Ian
Kennedy(0-2) took the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning allowing 3 hits
and 1 walk.

Kennedy was feeling apologetic in the locker room, 'I sure let that one get
away. What a miserable feeling to let the guys down; and our fans. One
minute things are looking great, then. BOOM, it's over with! I just hope I
get a chance to redeem myself real soon!'
