WEB GEMS- Bot 1st: Michael Conforto robbed Christian Yelich of an extra base hit.

In a game at Miller Park the New York (NL) ballclub snapped a 7 game losing
streak and got by the Milwaukee club by the score of 5 to 2.

J.D. Davis was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he
provided much of the offense for the visitors. He doubled which brought home
a run in the 1st inning, slapped a base-hit in the 3rd inning and clubbed a
three-run home run in the 5th inning. New York (NL) finished with 11 hits
while Milwaukee ended up with 4.

Rick Porcello(2-0) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the win. Edwin Diaz
recorded his 3rd save. Brett Anderson(1-2) was given the loss. He allowed 7
hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.

'We really needed this win' said New York (NL)'s manager. 'That first drink
of water at the end of a drought sure does taste good!'
