Zach Eflin(8-4) delivered a fine performance for Philadelphia. He was reached
for 8 hits and 1 walk in 6 innings. Although they lost, Washington did
out-hit Philadelphia 17 to 8.
Hector Neris was credited with his 17th save. Joe Ross(11-3) took the loss.
His biggest problem was control as he allowed 7 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.
'I just wanted to give my team a chance to win.' said Eflin, 'I got burned on
a couple of pitches. But we won the game, and that's all that matters.'
