Ryan Mountcastle rocketed 2 homeruns and scored 3 times as the Baltimore team
defeated the New York (AL) ballclub in 10 innings 12 to 9 at Camden
Yards.
The score was tied at 9 after nine. Finally, Baltimore pulled the game out in
the 10th inning. Rio Ruiz led off and got things going when he lined a
single. Richie Martin was next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim.
Hanser Alberto then doubled. Anthony Santander was up next and he launched a
three-run homer giving Baltimore the win much to the delight of the home town
crowd. Baltimore had a total of 18 hits for the game.
The victory went to Miguel Castro(4-4) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs.
Jonathan Loaisiga(4-4) was hit with the loss in relief.
