separated the combatants at game's end. The Baltimore ballclub won by the
slimmest of margins, 8 to 7.
Both teams had scored 6 runs after nine full innings. Baltimore won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning. After two outs Andrew Velazquez got
things rolling when he drew a walk. Jose Iglesias stepped up next and he
ripped a single. Hanser Alberto then lined a base-hit resulting in a run.
Renato Nunez was up next and he banged out a single making Baltimore the
victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Minnesota was out-hit
by Baltimore, 14 hits to 11.
Shawn Armstrong(1-3) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Tyler
Duffey(2-3) was hit with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 3 hits in
