Jose Berrios retired 10 batters on strikeouts and Max Kepler knocked 3
homeruns and had 6 RBI at T-Mobile Park where the Minnesota team beat the
Seattle team by the score of 7 to 0.
Kepler was a source of great heartache for the Seattle faithful all evening.
He just kept pounding out hits! He bombed a two-run dinger in the 6th inning,
lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 7th inning and
cracked a two-run shot in the 9th inning. Minnesota out-hit Seattle for the
game, 10 hits to 4.
Berrios(1-1) got the win allowing no runs in 7 innings. Marco Gonzales(0-2)
was hit with the loss. Seattle's manager was impressed with Berrios and his
10 strikeouts. 'It's tough to generate runs if you can't make contact with
the ball.'
