Danny Santana had 3 base hits at Oakland Coliseum as the Texas team beat the
Oakland team in 10 innings 6 to 5.
Both teams had scored 5 runs after nine full innings. Texas won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Nick Solak
drew a walk. Santana next to the plate and he drew a walk. Jake Diekman
then unleashed a wild pitch. Willie Calhoun was the next batter, but he
struck out. Diekman then let a pitch get away from him scoring the run.
Oakland out-hit Texas 11 to 6, but Texas ended up with more runs.
Derek Law(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Law got help from
Jonathan Hernandez who was credited with his 1st save. Diekman(1-1) was
charged with the loss in relief.
