Left fielder Domingo Santana slammed 2 homeruns as the Cleveland ballclub
rallied impressively to win in dramatic style over Los Angeles(NL) team, 6 to
5.
Cleveland had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning plating 2
runs on 2 base hits. Santana started the attack as he clubbed a solo home
run. Roberto Perez was next and he drew a walk. Delino Deshields then laced
a one-base hit. Jordan Luplow was up next and he hit a sacrifice fly scoring
the final run of the inning. Cleveland totaled 9 hits on the afternoon.
The winning pitcher was Nick Wittgren(1-1) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
Wittgren was helped out by Brad Hand who recorded his 14th save. Pedro
Baez(1-2) was tagged with the loss in relief.
