game at Progressive Field. The final score was the Cleveland team 9, the San
Francisco team 8.
Jose Ramirez had a good evening at the plate. He lost the ball over the fence
for three runs in the 1st inning and tripled in the 7th inning. San
Francisco had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.
Adam Plutko(4-2) picked up the victory, allowing 1 run in 6 innings. Brad Hand
recorded his 7th save. Kevin Gausman(1-2) was the loser. He allowed a few
too many baserunners giving up 5 hits and 3 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
'We just made a lot of mistakes, mostly mental,' San Francisco's manager said.
'It's bad enough when the other team beats you, but when you start beating
yourselves, that's really bad.'
