Second baseman Jurickson Profar cracked 2 homeruns as the San Diego ballclub
defeated the Los Angeles(NL) ballclub by a score of 5 to 4 at PETCO
Park.
San Diego took the lead for good in the bottom of the 7th inning scoring one
runner utilizing 2 base hits. Los Angeles(NL) made it exciting in the 9th,
but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
Drew Pomeranz(1-0) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory.
Kirby Yates gained credit for his 10th save. Joe Kelly(0-1) was given the
loss in relief. He gave up 2 hits and no walks in 1 inning.
Los Angeles(NL)'s manager was subdued when questioned after the game, 'Sure,
this kind of loss takes a while to get over, but heck, we're all
