Right fielder Franmil Reyes had 5 hits and 6 RBI as the Cleveland ballclub
topped the Texas team by a score of 15 to 6 at Progressive Field.
Reyes had a great evening at the plate. He had the crowd cheering his every
move. He stroked a base-hit bringing in two baserunners in the 1st inning,
belted a three-run homer in the 2nd inning, lined a single in the 4th inning,
stroked a one-base hit in the 7th inning and slapped a base-hit resulting in
a run in the 8th inning. Cleveland provided plenty of action in the 2nd
inning when they had 6 runs on 6 hits and the 8th inning with 4 runs on 6
hits. Overall Cleveland out-hit Texas 27 to 11.
Shane Bieber(3-5) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 innings. Lance Lynn(4-1)
absorbed the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 2 innings.
'I felt great out there tonight' Reyes said. 'I was seeing the ball
perfectly, and I was right on it with my swing.
