David Fletcher had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Los Angeles(AL) ballclub
defeated the Baltimore team 7 to 4 at Camden Yards.
Baltimore never recovered after Los Angeles(AL) took the lead in the top of
the 5th inning scoring a single run using 2 hits. Fletcher hit a single.
Kohl Stewart then unleashed a wild pitch. Two outs later Shohei Ohtani came
up and he lined a base-hit scoring the run. Baltimore threatened in the 9th
but Los Angeles(AL) was able to put down the rally.
Patrick Sandoval(3-1) allowed 1 run in 6 innings, and picked up the victory.
Hansel Robles got the save, his 6th. Stewart(3-2) ended up with the loss.
Los Angeles(AL)'s manager was in a talkative mood in the clubhouse, 'Great
game! If only we could win all of the close ones - wouldn't that be nice!
Since that's not going to happen, I think I'll savor this one for a little
while.'
